Stephen Krzyston has worked at both private law firms and alongside public defenders, beginning before he even graduated from the Charleston School of Law in 2012. Since 2019, Stephen Krzyston has served as an attorney at Cavanaugh & Thickens in Columbia, South Carolina, where he oversees clients’ personal injury cases.

Mr. Krzyston juggles a diverse range of responsibilities to provide quality representation for his clients. Rather than facilitating logistics for a section of a client's ongoing case, he does so starting when the firm retains each new case. While researching and preparing cases, he consults legal experts in relevant areas and collects witness statements. He also evaluates whether evidence collected by state or federal courts is admissible in court.

To prepare for his role, Mr. Krzyston engaged in additional professional development. In 2016 and 2018, at Mercer University School of Law, he completed courses in Advanced Cross-Examination and attended the Trial Practice Institute. He also learned the Reid technique of interrogation at John E. Reid & Associates’ Advanced Interview and Interrogation course.
